Your Exit Strategy

1.    Although I really enjoy the premise of my company, I do not think that I would like to stay with it for a long time. I think my exit strategy would involve me selling my business within the next five years. I do not think that I would see myself trying to make it a family business or staying with it for a very long time.
2.    I have selected this particular exit strategy because I do not see a definite future for me in this business. Also, this is not my true passion. What I would like to do in the future would relate more to property development. My ultimate goal would have me pursuing a career in which I could be a property developer.

3.    I think that my exit strategy has definitely influenced other decisions I made in my business plan. I chose this idea because the topic of gun safety is very relevant right now, I think that if I entered the market now I could have some quick success and be able to sell my business to a larger one for a profit. I basically designed my entire business around my exit strategy.

  1. Hey Arsenio,
It's funny that all of the exit posts I have read and even my own involve selling the company and not trying to continue with it. I think it's cool that you thought so far in advance about your exit strategy and that you planned all along to make a profit while the market was hot and sell before the market died off. It's understandable that you would not want to stay with the company since it's not your true passion and that you should go do what you want. Great Post!

  2. Hey,
I have a similar exit strategy and it seems like most people do not intend on keeping their business. Unless you are really set on having a business and willing to put all this it is not worth keeping it for long. While my exit strategy did affect my business plan I did not design my business around it. However, I think it was a smart idea to do that. Great post!
